Private Events and Parties
Let us host you! We would be delighted to be part of your next crafty event.
Team offsite? Creative retreat? Birthday? Friendsgiving? We do it all (though maybe not at the same time!).
Crafting is always better when together.
Especially when it’s surrounded by friends and family. Here’s how a private event would work.

30-minute window for guest arrivals. We will do a quick tour of the studio and intro to our art supplies and tools available

2 full hours of the craft activity of your choice. Our staff will give a short demo and be on hand to help with any crafty advice.

30 minutes to make those final touches and wrap up the evening with a sweet see you all again soon.
Pricing
Half-day rental
Host your party, shower, meeting, reunion, or anything in between at Society of Thumbs.
$1000 + $250 cleaning fee
3-hour use of our craft studio and it’s amenities—this includes high-speed wifi, TV, speakers, tables, chairs, a private phone booth, and more.
Up to 20 guests
10 crafting stations in the activity of your choice. Each crafting station can accommodate 2 guests at once.
1 craft activity of your choice. Please see our craft menu below. Fee includes all materials and supplies.
2 hours of craft time
Up to 1 free hour to set up before event if needed
We’ll have 1 staff onsite to facilitate the craft activity, and be on hand to help with anything you need.
Full-day rental
Team off-sites, client meetings, or just a full day of crafting for friends.
$2,200 + $250 cleaning fee
6-hours use of our craft studio and it’s amenities—this includes high-speed wifi, TV, speakers, tables, chairs, a private phone booth, and more.

Depending on the activity, we can accommodate up to 20 crafting stations per event.

Catering
We recommend Bi-Rite or Crown and Crumpet for all your catering needs. We can work with them directly for coordination.
Pricing varies depending on food and beverage choices. Beer and wine are permitted, but only if event is private (not open to the public, or ticketed).
Photography
We can arrange for a photographer to help document your day so you can stay screen-free and hands-on with your guests and activities.

Our availability
We can accommodate events on either Sunday or Monday between the hours of 10am to 8pm.
We currently cannot do back to back reservations so we can provide the best experience for all private events.
A note on kids
Kids are welcome during these events, but our craft activities — carving tools included — are built for adult hands. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their own crafters throughout the event.

Let’s Get Gelli With It
Our most popular activity. Easy to learn, hours of play. Thin layers of paint are rolled onto a gel plate, make your marks using various tools and stencils. One satisfying pull, and you’ve met your next craft obession.
Clay Away The Day
Make your own coasters, trinket dish, jewelry, bag charms or tiny desk buddies. This tactile medium engages both the mind and body. A great way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends.
